But in a world where we value the human being in us less than the cash we trade ourselves in for, who can be surprised that the lowest common denominator has persuasive powers over some?
Though they can feel good that they’re not a Pol Pot or a Josef Mengele, will they ever have doubts about their ability to aspire to anything other than being someone else’s tool?
